Georgina Pollard is an associate at Black Criminal Law, practising exclusively in criminal defence. She is committed to protecting her clients’ rights and ensuring they receive a fair trial, bringing a meticulous, client-focused approach to every case.

Originally from Leeds, England, Georgina emigrated to Canada in 2005 and spent her formative years in Kingston, Ontario, before moving back to the UK. She earned her Honours Bachelor of Arts from the University of Toronto, majoring in Equity Studies with a double minor in History and Women & Gender Studies.

After taking time to travel, Georgina returned to the UK to pursue her legal education, completing law school at Queen’s University Belfast in Northern Ireland. She returned to Kingston during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, completing her National Committee on Accreditation (NCA) examinations while gaining valuable experience as a legal clerk in the advocacy sector.

Georgina completed her articles with Michael Rode and Sarah Black Criminal Law before being called to the Ontario Bar in June 2024. She has remained with the firm, now known as Black Criminal Law, as an associate, continuing to dedicate her practice to defending individuals facing criminal charges at all stages of the process.

Georgina is a member of the Frontenac Law Association, the Criminal Lawyers’ Association, and Women in Canadian Criminal Defence. She currently serves as Chair of the Criminal Defence Section at the Frontenac Law Association.
